On My Plate
Setting a beautiful dining table is just as much fun as cooking delicious food and I am always on the look for something new. It is so easy to bring a bit of color to your table with some beautiful dining ware, you can mix colors and patterns and put together the most beautiful table tops and it doesn’t need to be expensive. Only imagination sets limits and don’t be afraid to think outside the box.
I know that most people don’t have the budget to change their dining wear every time they see something they like I know I certainly don’t, but if you have a neutral foundation it is easy to buy something fun and decorative to spice things up. It doesn’t have to be a lot, maybe a cake plate, serving bowl or a carafe.
IKEA, H&M Home and Zara Home all sell dining wear for a reasonable price. They have both elegant and fun things so I think most people can find something they like. And especially if you have small children, choose the inexpensive things because we all know that something is going to hit the floor.
I want to show you some of the things that I have come across lately and I really like. And who knows maybe it can give you some inspiration …

I have to say I have totally fallen in love with the Hammershøj tableware series from Kähler Design. Last autumn they added a new colour, deep and intense indigo blue which I find so beautiful.
But I think all the colours in Hammershøj complement each other and you can easily mix and match them together.I think this will definitely be something I want to collect , it is very stylish without overdoing it.
Check out the Hammershøj series at Kähler Design
Bowl from the beautiful Kastehelmi collection from Iittala
