This homemade warm caramel sauce is actually pretty easy to make and it will beat anything that you can buy from the store. And the good thing is that it only contains a few ingredients and I will bet that most of them you already have.
- 200 gr. Butter
- 150 gr. Brown Sugar
- 200 ml Cream
- 1 pod Vanilla or 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
- This is fairly easy , put all the ingredients except for the salt in a small pot.
- Bring to boil, and then lower the heat and let simmer for about 10 minutes. Stir in the salt, pour in a jar and let it cool a little.
- The caramel sauce keeps in a fridge for about a week.
This sauce will keep in the fridge for about 2 weeks and is very versatile and you can use it with so many things, but I think the favorite in our house is to use it with ice cream.
