Well first of all I want to wish you all a very happy new year and I really hope you have all had wonderful holidays.
Now things are slowly getting back to normal, the kids are going to school tomorrow and I have packed away Christmas and cleaned. It’s always like the house has gotten bigger when all the Christmas stuff is gone, I just love it.
During the holidays I have had a lot of great food and a LOT of sweets so now it is time to get back to reality and stop filling yourself with sweet things every time you get. But don’t get me wrong there is always a place for sweet thing just not that much and you can always find a healthier option.
This shake is perfect to do just that but in baby steps as it has a great chocolate taste so you can satisfy that sweet craving, and it is just an awesome start to the day. If you add the espresso powder it will give you everything you need in the morning.
- 1 Banana
- 1/2 Avocado
- 200 gr frozen Strawberries
- 5 - 6 pitted Dates
- 400 ml Almond milk, or the plant based milk of your choice
- 2 tbsp raw Cacao Powder
- 1 tbsp Cacao Nibs
- 1 tsp Vanilla powder
- 2 tsp Espresso Powder, optional
- Cut the banana and avocado in smaller pieces, and remove the stones from the dates. Put it in a blender with all the ingredients and blend everything together until you have a nice creamy shake. If you feel it is too thick just add a little bit of milk.
